Daroga Bharti 2015: Congress government was in Uttarakhand during the scam, … so was Hakam Singh’s presence there even then?

Former BJP leader Hakam Singh, who was on the target of the Congress for the scam in the recruitment examinations of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC), remained in the previous Congress government as well.

During the police constable recruitment scam in the year 2015-16, there was a Congress government in the state. Since the opening of this case, discussions have intensified regarding the reach of Hakam. At the same time, the BJP has also got an opportunity to attack the Congress in recruitment scams.

Stir once again in the politics of the state:
There has once again been a stir in the politics of the state regarding Hakam Singh. BJP leader Hakam Singh’s involvement in UKSSSC recruitment examinations during the previous BJP government has come to the fore.
Making this a big issue, the Congress had made sharp attacks on the BJP and its government. Now the way the accused constables have been suspended in the constable recruitment scam, the BJP has got a weapon to retaliate. The police constable recruitment scam took place during the tenure of the Congress government.

Congress needs to review the tenure of its government:
On the other hand, BJP’s state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan, giving advice to the Congress, said that the Congress, which is demanding fresh investigation in the recruitment case, needs to observe the tenure of its government. The 20 sub-inspectors who were suspended in the sub-inspector recruitment case are all the result of corruption during the Congress tenure.
Even before this, the Patwari recruitment examination was held during the Congress rule. Both the times there was open corruption, but no action was taken. Despite the historical action taken in the recruitment scams, those who give protection to the corrupt while in the government are questioning the capability of the investigating agencies. This is unfortunate.

Chouhan said that the suspension of the accused inspectors is the result of the zero tolerance policy of the Dhami government. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s announcement to bring the country’s strictest copy law is justified and necessary. The BJP government is taking immediate, strictest, transparent action against rigging in appointments.

OMR sheets related to the recruitment of inspector were destroyed:
The extent to which the copying mafia had reached in the recruitment case of Inspector can be gauged from the fact that the OMR sheets related to the recruitment were destroyed even before the vigilance investigation started. However, Vigilance had already kept its copy safe, so the accused could not succeed in their conspiracy.
In the year 2015, Vigilance probing the direct recruitment of constables had sought OMR sheets from GB Pant University, Pantnagar. It was told by the university that the OMR sheets of the year 2015 examination are not available with them.
The university administration said that as per the rules, they destroy the OMR sheets after one year of the examination. After this, when the Vigilance took forward its investigation, it was found that the copies of the OMR sheets of the examinations held before the year 2015 are available with the University.
When a copy was called from the University on the orders of the court on behalf of the Vigilance, the copies were sent on behalf of the University. According to vigilance, this copy has the signatures of only four officers of the committee formed by the university, whereas the signatures of Pushkar Singh Sailal, who was the Deputy Inspector General of Police at that time, were not obtained.

Enhanced checking of OMR sheet copy:
A copy of the OMR sheet was given to the vigilance by the university, on the basis of which the investigation was proceeded by the vigilance. However, before this the Vigilance had gathered a lot of evidence.
