CM Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over the accident, Kedarnath heli service stopped

A helicopter crashed on the Kedarnath route in Uttarakhand this morning. In which seven people have died. CM Dhami has expressed grief over the accident.

He wrote on Twitter, “Very sad news of a helicopter crash has been received in Rudraprayag district. SDRF, local administration and other rescue teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations. I pray to Baba Kedar for the safety of all the passengers.”

Ban on heli services

A helicopter returning from Kedarnath Dham with passengers crashed early Sunday morning. At the same time, Kedarnath heli services have been stopped due to rescue work.

BKTC expressed grief
Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) President Hemant Dwivedi expressed grief over the untimely death of seven people in a helicopter accident on Shri Kedarnath Guptkashi Marg. He said that steps are being taken at the government level to prevent recurrence of such incidents. BKTC Vice President Rishi Prasad Sati and Vice President Vijay Kaparvan expressed deep condolences. BKTC Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal expressed grief over the accident. Five passengers including the pilot and one BKTC employee died in the helicopter accident.
