The BJP leadership has been making full use of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who came into the limelight across the country with decisions like the initiative of Uniform Civil Code, strict anti-copying law, in various elections. Chief Minister Dhami was also put on the front in the Maharashtra assembly elections. In the six assembly constituencies of Maharashtra where he campaigned, only BJP candidates won. The Chief Minister called senior BJP leaders of Maharashtra and the winning candidates on the historic victory in the assembly elections and congratulated them for this achievement. During the campaign for the Maharashtra assembly elections, the BJP high command had entrusted Chief Minister Dhami with the responsibility of campaigning and communication in many areas of Bandra West, Nalasopara, Thane, Ovala Majiwada, Vasai, Mira Bhayander assembly constituencies. During the campaign, the Chief Minister shared his experience with the public as well as put forward the ideology and achievements of the party. The party candidates have won all these assembly seats. Chief Minister Dhami described the historic success of NDA in Maharashtra as the result of the visionary policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the efficient strategy of the national leadership of the party and the commitment of BJP towards public service. He said that the people of Maharashtra have again expressed their faith in the work done by the BJP and the Mahayuti government and made it clear that the basic mantra of Prime Minister Modi of Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas has the support of the whole country. The Chief Minister interacted with the senior leaders of Maharashtra BJP and the winning candidates over the phone and congratulated them. He also expressed confidence that all the winning candidates will work with dedication and loyalty in their respective constituencies, meeting the expectations of the people.
BJP got the highest number of votes in Maharashtra elections
In the Maharashtra Assembly elections, BJP got the highest number of 26.77 percent votes. The party contested 149 seats and won 132 seats. Got a total of 17,293,650 votes. Interestingly, BJP winning 132 seats in the assembly is a hat-trick of crossing the 100-seat mark. The party had won 122 seats in the 2014 elections and 105 seats in 2019. It may be noted here that the Congress, which contested 101 seats in the Maharashtra assembly, won only 16 seats and finished second with 12.42 vote percentage. The party got 8,020,921 votes. The Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena contested 81 seats, out of which it won 57 seats and secured 12.38 per cent votes.
