Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed to operate 24 hours control rooms at the state, district and tehsil levels in view of the heavy rain alert. He said that reports should be sent from the districts to the state level control room every two hours. In case of any incident, be notified immediately. He also directed to keep the response time to a minimum.
On Sunday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the preparedness for disaster management at the Secretariat. He said that a large number of pilgrims and tourists are visiting the state at this time. If necessary, arrangements for their stay and food etc. should be ensured by keeping them in safe places. There should not be any negligence in this, so that tourists and pilgrims take a good message from here. He said that the water level of the rivers should be continuously monitored. ITBP, CWC, BRO, SDRF, Revenue and Police should work in coordination.

Complete information should be kept about the people who came for trekking and they should be contacted. Special attention should be given to landslide areas. Arrangements should be made to open them immediately when the roads are closed. He said that it should be ensured that people are not trapped in case of landslides etc. They should stay in safe places only. Disaster and rescue relief equipment should be in good condition. The Chief Minister said that in view of the heavy rain alert, utmost care should be taken. Passengers and tourists should be appealed to be careful, but in no way panic should be spread. The District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police themselves should keep an eye on the whole situation.
