Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is conducting a fair investigation into the examination conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission. An SIT, headed by a retired judge, has been constituted and the investigation has begun. The investigation and subsequent action will be carried out swiftly. Based on the findings of the SIT investigation, whatever is necessary for the students’ benefit will be decided. The CM also said that the youth should decide who is behind their agitation. Ultimately, who is bringing them out on the streets to further their own interests? This issue has been completely politicized. Slogans of sedition are being raised and Sanatan Dharma is being insulted; this will not be tolerated.
CM says, SIT investigation and action will be swift
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the demand for a fair investigation came from the youth themselves in this matter. The government has initiated the investigation. The recruitment process has been suspended for one month. The results are not going to come out yet. After the SIT investigation, whatever decision is taken in the interest of the youth will be implemented; the government will not back down on this issue.
The agitation is being politicized; only self-interest is being served
The Chief Minister said that there are people involved in the agitation who have nothing to do with the youth or the recruitment exams. They only want to further their own interests. Our commitment to the youth is that, just as we made 25,000 appointments without any corruption, we will continue this process. We will implement the recruitment calendar. The opposition’s protest regarding the leak of three pages of the graduate-level recruitment exam question paper is understandable, but under the guise of this, talking about sedition and insulting Sanatan Dharma cannot be justified in any way. It is unfortunate that the government is being targeted and politicized under the guise of students’ issues. The youth of our state are sensible. Our state borders two countries. This is a land of spirituality, and the people of this land will consider this matter carefully and move forward accordingly.
