Educational qualification required to become a CID officer:

To become a CID officer, the candidate should have the following educational qualifications as follows –

  1. It is mandatory for a candidate to be a citizen of India to become a CID officer.
  1. To become a CID officer, it is mandatory for the candidate to have at least 12th class pass.
  1. To get good post in CID organization, graduation from any recognized university is mandatory.
  1. Both CID officers and men and women can apply for any other post in CID organization.

How is CID officer exam?

Age limit to become a CID officer:

To become a CID officer, the candidate should have the following age limit qualification as follows –

  1. For General age limit 20 to 27: General category candidates can apply from 20 years to 27 years of age to become a CID officer.
  2. For OBC age limit 20 to 30: Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates can apply from 20 years to 30 years of age.
  3. For SC / St age limit 20 to 32: Other backward class candidates can apply from 20 years to 32 years of age.

How many times the candidate can try to become a CID officer?

Candidates can try only a few times to become a CID officer, the government should put some rules and conditions for it as follows

  1. For General 4 time attempts: General category candidates can attempt 4 times.
  1. For OBC 7 time attempts: Candidates of OBC category can attempt 7 times.
  1. For Sc / St, no limit: There is no limit for candidates belonging to SC / ST category.

CID officer selection process

The CID officer who has to do detective work for the Government of India, therefore, the process of its selection is under the head of the CID organization and some government employees. For CID officer post, the candidate has to go through 3 stages, which is as follows.
