Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat held a virtual meeting with the District Magistrates from the Secretariat regarding the control of Kovid-19 and the progress of Kovid vaccination.

Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat held a virtual meeting with the District Magistrates regarding the progress of Kovid-19 and Kovid vaccination from the Secretariat and directed that special attention should be paid to Testing, Micro Containment Zone, Kovid Appropriate Behavior and Enforcement. In view of the possible third wave of Kovid, all arrangements should be kept complete. He said that preparations are good in all the districts, but attention should be paid to how these arrangements can be taken further.


The Chief Minister said that in some private hospitals, complaints are being received from patients about charging more than the prescribed fee and not giving the benefit of Atal Ayushman card. Strict action should be taken against those hospitals. Hospitals should also be inspected from time to time. The Chief Minister said that testing and vaccination should be increased further in rural areas. For this, regular camps should be organized. Keeping in view the monsoon season, complete arrangements should be made for oxygen cylinders, essential medicines and all kinds of essential materials in the hilly areas.
Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat said that all possible efforts are being made by the State Government for effective control of Kovid. There is adequate arrangement of oxygen, ICU beds, ventilators. Apart from the districts, oxygen plants are also being installed up to the CHC level. He instructed the officers to be ready for any kind of challenge to fight against Kovid. The Kovid Care Center set up in Rishikesh and Haldwani in collaboration with DRDO will also help the state a lot.
Chief Secretary Shri Omprakash said that there is a need to take special vigilance for the next two months in view of the possible third phase of Kovid. He said that the target of 40 thousand tests per day must be fulfilled. For effective control of Kovid, the awareness campaign continued continuously. Attention should be given to new mediums of publicity. For this, the cooperation of theater workers should be taken, this will also improve awareness. The Chief Secretary said that special attention should be paid to enforcement. For this, the duty of officers of the level of Deputy SP should be imposed.
On this occasion, Chief Adviser to Chief Minister Shri Shatrughan Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Manisha Panwar, DGP Shri Ashok Kumar, Secretary Shri Amit Negi, Shri R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Dr. Pankaj Pandey, DG Health, Dr. Tripti Bahuguna, all Commissioners, District Magistrates, SSP, CMO etc. were present through virtual medium.
