The Chief Minister said that with the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and with the cooperation of the Central Government, many such works have been done in the state, which were not possible earlier. In the last five years, various projects worth more than one lakh crore rupees have been approved by the Central Government for the state. Many of these projects have been done or work is going on in full swing. We have worked with connectivity as the core of development. The dream of railway on the mountain, which many generations of Uttarakhand were seeing for years, seems to be coming true now. Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line and Tanakpur-Bageshwar rail line project are also examples of this. To improve the road connectivity of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri, a lot of work has been done on the Chardham road project of 889 km. Jolly Grant airport is being made of international standard. Green field airport is being developed at Udhamsinghnagar. On one hand, work is being done to strengthen the infrastructure of the state, while on topics like tourism, employment and migration, work is being done in a pro-active mode by making concrete strategies. Our home stay scheme is setting new dimensions in the field of tourism and tourism focused employment. Uttarakhand is not only Dev Bhoomi but also Veer Bhoomi. A grand military dham is being constructed in Dehradun.

Kedarnath Dham was rebuilt under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and it was given more grandeur than before. The Samadhi of Param Pujya Adi Guru Shankaracharya was rebuilt here. Recently, Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of Lakhwar multipurpose project worth five thousand seven hundred and forty seven crore rupees. 300 MW of hydroelectricity will be generated from this project, due to which our state will not only become a “power house” in the field of energy but will also generate employment on a large scale. Along with this, drinking water will also be available to 6 states from this project. After the start of the AIIMS satellite center in Kumaon division at a cost of more than 500 crores, Uttarakhand will become the first state in India where apart from AIIMS, the satellite center of AIIMS will also be established. With the objective of providing high quality health facilities to the inaccessible areas of the hills, the way has also been paved for the construction of a medical college at Pithoragarh at a cost of Rs 455 crore.
Our government is a government dedicated to the youth. We have started the process of recruitment for 24 thousand government posts. Relief from application fee in state recruitment examinations has been given. There is an age relaxation of one year for the candidates in the selection to the posts of Group-B and C. Relief amount has also started reaching the accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT. Vatsalya Yojana has been given to destitute children of families affected by Kovid in the state. 3000 per month will be given to such children till the age of 21 years. The state government will give full protection to these children like a guardian.

With the inspiration of the Prime Minister, the world’s largest covid vaccination campaign ‘Vaccine-Free Vaccine for Everyone’ is being conducted in the country. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, Uttarakhand has become the state to administer the first dose of Kovid-19 vaccine to the fully eligible beneficiaries. The target of 100% second dose will also be achieved at the earliest. Health infrastructure has increased manifold. Oxygen plants have been started in every district. We have started free testing scheme in the state. Under this, patients are getting free facility of 207 types of pathological tests. Under the Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana, Ayushman cards of 44 lakh people have been made. Taking forward the Prime Minister’s ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign, we have started Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana. Under this, Chief Minister Mahalaxmi Kit is being provided to the mother and newborn girl child on the birth of the first two girls. Our government has increased the honorarium of Anganwadi sisters.

The Chief Minister said that we have called for a road map for the next ten years from every department, so that we can draw a blueprint for the development of the state according to the needs of the future. Both our policy and intention regarding Uttarakhand are clear, honest. We should not let this journey stop on the path of development on which our Uttarakhand has progressed. We have to make our state the best state of India by the year 2025, the silver jubilee of the state. The Chief Minister said that in the last two years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have successfully fought against Kovid. We still have to be careful. The whole world has appreciated the work done under the leadership of the Prime Minister to deal with Kovid. The Chief Minister has appealed to the people of the state to follow the COVID guidelines while celebrating the New Year.
