Jainism is a religion of non-violence – Chief Minister Dhami, assured help in Jain Samaj Sammelan

Uttarakhand Samagra Jain Samaj Sammelan was organized at Shri Digambar Jain Panchayati Mandir and Jain Bhawan, in which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Jainism has described non-violence as a religion of valor. He praised the organization and social unity of the Jain community and assured to seriously consider the suggestion of formation of Jain Welfare Board. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the Jain community will continue to cooperate in the development of Uttarakhand. Organized in collaboration with the 31st Pushp Varsha Yoga Committee, this conference started with the singing of songs by the women of Jain Milan Mahila Ekta. Religious followers from 31 cities across the country including Uttarakhand participated in the conference. The Chief Minister described the life of Acharya Shri 108 Saurabh Sagar Muni Maharaj as a symbol of restraint, sacrifice and non-violence. He said that religious leaders show the society a new path and inspire in the direction of truth.

The Chief Minister said that the government is implementing anti-conversion and anti-riot laws and government land is being freed from illegal occupation in the state. He also said that from January 1, 2026, only those madrasas will be recognized which will be run by the board. Earlier, the Chief Minister took the blessings of Acharya Shri 108 Saurabhsagar Maharaj. Upadhyay Ravindra Muni, Astrologer Diwakar Rajesh Muni said that Jain society has always been a pioneer in the works of national interest, education, culture and goodwill.

Told that the population of Jain community may be limited, but the contribution of the society has been very impressive in the field of education, health, business and service. On this occasion, Rajpur Road MLA Khajan Das, Dharampur MLA Vinod Chamoli, Padma Shri Dr. RK Jain, Jain Samaj President Sukhmal Jain, Satish Jain, General Secretary Lokesh Jain, Praveen Jain, Amit Jain, Sachin Jain, Shravan Jain, Om Jain, Sadhuram Jain, Minority Commission member Surendra Jain, Media Coordinator Madhu Jain, Vipin Jain, Rajiv Jain etc. were present.

Jain society wants protection, not reservation: Saurabhsagar Maharaj
Acharya Shri 108 Saurabhsagar Maharaj said that the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is moving towards a tension-free Uttarakhand and harmonious society. Said that the Jain community currently wants protection, not reservation from the government. Jain culture is created by the good conduct and thoughts of the people. Jain society has never been involved in fighting. It follows peace and calls upon others to do the same. We want to be seen like this from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
