Budget 2025-26: Big gift to the middle class… People’s faces lit up as soon as the new tax slab was announced

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented a record eighth consecutive budget in the Lok Sabha. During this, as soon as she announced that income tax will no longer be paid on income up to Rs 12 lakh, the faces of the employed people in Uttarakhand also lit up. During the budget session, Uttarakhand Finance Minister Premchand Agarwal was seen discussing at his residence in Yamuna Colony. Announcing the new tax slab, the Finance Minister said that this will strengthen the middle class’s economy. Now there is no income tax on income up to Rs 12 lakh. When standard deduction is also added, there will be no tax on income of Rs 12.75 lakh for salaried people. During this, he said that this budget is part of the efforts to increase the pace of development, overall development, increase investment in the private sector, strengthen domestic sensibilities and increase the spending capacity of the middle class.
