BJP will make Muslim society aware of the aspects of Waqf Amendment Act, will run campaign for awareness

The BJP has decided to make the Muslim society aware of all its aspects in view of the benefits of the Waqf Amendment Act. In this episode, the Waqf Amendment Janjagran Abhiyan will be started across the state from April 20 with the message “The rights of the poor will be given only to the poor”. This information was given in a workshop held at the state BJP headquarters on Friday in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and BJP’s Uttarakhand in-charge Dushyant Gautam. Along with this, the outline of the campaign was finalized. In the inaugural session of the workshop, Chief Minister Dhami shed light on various aspects of the Waqf Amendment Act and said that it is in the interest of the country and society. He also questioned the intention of the opposition opposing the amendment in this law and said that despite the Waqf property worth lakhs of crores, why the poor were not helped through it. He asked the party workers to spread the detailed information about the amendment in this law to the common people, so that the politics of confusion and fear of the opposition can be curbed. BJP’s state in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam said that since the inception of Jan Sangh, we are committed to building a strong India. Whatever was felt necessary for the unity of the country and the welfare of the countrymen, we have implemented it when the time came.

Referring to the Waqf Amendment Act, he said that this is not a new work. We have worked to correct the mistakes made by the previous Congress governments in the year 1995 and 2013. He said that anti-national activities will not be given preference at any cost in the name of appeasement. Waqf properties should be used properly for the welfare of the poor.

All illegal encroachments will be removed by this law and facilities like PM housing for poor Muslim women, especially divorced and widowed women, orphan children, hospitals for the poor, educational institutions, community buildings will be developed.

In the second session of the workshop, BJP’s State General Secretary Organization Ajay Kumar shared the outline of the fortnight-long campaign starting from April 20. He said that on the lines of the state-level workshop, workshops will be held in all the districts from April 20 to 22 and thereafter at the divisional level. Uttarakhand Waqf Board Chairman Shadab Shams gave detailed information about all the major points of the amendment in the Waqf Act. State General Secretary Aditya Kothari, Rajya Sabha member Kalpana Saini, Minority Front in-charge Mukesh Koli, State Vice President Kuldeep Kumar and Shailendra Bisht, Minority Front President Intezaar Hussain, MLA Khajan Das and other leaders expressed their views in the workshop.

Muslim women welcomed the Chief Minister by showering flowers

During the Waqf Amendment Janjagran Workshop, Muslim women welcomed Chief Minister Dhami by showering flowers. Also, through the Chief Minister, they thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the reform in the Waqf Act.

The Chief Minister assured everyone that this amendment will prove to be a milestone for the welfare of the poor Muslim class and women. The government will ensure that illegal encroachments are removed and help is provided to the real needy people of Waqf.
