Big news from the education department, students of classes 1 to 8 will not get cooked food but food security allowance!

Dehradun- In Uttarakhand, now the students of classes I to VIII will not be given cooked food but food security allowance. State Project Director Banshidhar Tiwari has issued guidelines regarding food security allowance to all district education officers. In which it has been directed not to provide cooked food till further orders and it has been said that cooked food should not be given to the students till further orders.



In the financial year 2021-22, students from class 1 to class 8 were directed to be given food security allowance for 21 days, along with 4 days from February 1 to February 4 and 17 from February 7 to February 28. Day students will be given allowance on the basis of attendance. On behalf of the State Project Director, instructions have also been given to pay the honorarium of February 2022 to the food mothers. But the schools which are coming under the purview of Prime Minister’s Nutrition Shakti Nirman are to be given food security allowance to the students of those schools.
