Good news for litterateurs in the state, especially emerging litterateurs. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the start of Long Term Sahitya Sevak Samman. In this, an amount of five lakhs will be given as a prize. The amount of Uttarakhand Sahitya Bhushan Samman has also been increased from five lakhs to Rs 5.51 lakh.
The Chief Minister directed to organize speeches, essays and other competitions in local dialects once a week in schools. While presiding over the meeting of the General Assembly and Managing Executive Committee of Uttarakhand Bhasha Sansthan at the Secretariat on Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that digitization of dialects, folk tales, folk songs and literature of Uttarakhand is necessary.
By creating an e-library, their digital form will be preserved. Along with increasing the collection based on folk tales, audio visuals will be made on them. There will be a festival of language and literature on a large scale in the state. Litterateurs from all over the country will be invited in this. He stressed on making a linguistic map of the dialects of the state. Give book in exchange for bouquet The Chief Minister called upon the people of the state to promote the practice of giving book in exchange for bouquet in the state. He said that there will be a young writer competition to encourage young writers towards the official language Hindi. Young writers of two age groups 18 to 24 years and 25 to 35 years will participate in it. It was also decided that mobile libraries will be arranged in the remote areas of the state. In this, the help of big publishers will be taken to provide books and literature related to various subjects to the readers.

Along with this, the institute will prepare short videos to increase the interest of children in folk languages. Documentation will be done for the preservation of Bakana It was decided in the meeting that to preserve the Pandavani singing ‘Bakana’ prevalent in Jaunsar Bawar area since ancient times, it will be documented. The institute will conduct research projects for the compilation of the entire literature of renowned playwright Govind Ballabh Pant, compilation of literature published in various newspapers and magazines of the country 50 to 100 years ago by the writers of the state, preservation and study of high Himalayan and tribal languages. Two Sahitya Grams will be built in the state for literary creation amidst nature, seminars and discussions of writers.
Language Minister Subodh Uniyal said that in three years the institute has taken many new initiatives.
