Big decision of Dhami cabinet, Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority will be constituted in the state

Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority will be constituted in the state. The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The cabinet approved the Uttarakhand Minority Educational Institutions Act Bill in this regard. This bill will be introduced in the upcoming session of the Assembly. Till now, the status of minority educational institution was available only to the Muslim community, now along with Muslims, Sikhs, Jain Christians, Buddhists and Parsis will also get this facility. This will be the first such act in the country, which aims to establish a transparent process for granting recognition to educational institutions established by minority communities in the state. Apart from this, the cabinet has also approved the proposals to introduce the amendment ordinance in marriage registration in UCC in the House as a bill, to bring an act in place of the government order to provide pension and other facilities to democracy fighters, to bring a new scheme in place of the Witness Protection Act and to put the annual report of the Drinking Water Corporation on the table of the House.
