The Collector allowed permission to open the bar after 6 months of detention…

The bars in Dehradun district, which have been closed for six months, are going to open from Friday. Bar operators have been demanding this for a long time, citing their economic condition. The Excise Commissioner had entrusted the responsibility of taking decisions in this regard to the District Excise Officers. The Excise Officer of Dehradun had sent a file in this regard to the District Magistrate’s Office, on which permission has been given on Thursday.

Recently, Excise Commissioner Sushil Kumar had said that if the Excise Officer wishes, the bar can be opened. According to the department, the District Magistrate has given permission to open the bar from Friday. In-charge District Excise Officer Inspector Sanjay Rawat said that there has been a change in the process of purchasing liquor for the bar. Bar operators will pick up liquor from contracts rather than warehouses.
Apart from this, information has been sought from the operators about the measures to prevent corona infection. The bar will be allowed to be opened only when the rules are followed. Please tell that there are licenses in the district about one hundred hundred times. He informed that bar operators will have to follow the Corona Guide Line. Failure to do so will result in action under the Pandemic Act.
Guidelines will be prepared today
The bars are going to open in the midst of the corona epidemic after six months of captivity. In such a situation, it is not less than a challenge. The District Excise Department will issue guidelines for bars today to deal with it. The bars will open only on the basis of this guideline.

Challenge for police too

How the people who get drunk from bars will be controlled at night will not be less of a challenge. Because the use of alchometers has stopped recently, the medical procedure has become complicated due to corona in hospitals. In such a situation, it will also be a challenge for the police to clamp down on the people who drive drunk.

The District Magistrate has issued orders to open the bar. The bars will be opened from Friday with necessary precautions in view of the corona. For this, guidelines will be prepared on Friday itself. According to the new excise policy, this time the contractors will be able to take liquor only from contracts instead of godowns.
