Committee officials said that on the call of the trade union, the nationwide strike will be made successful in the entire state including Dehradun. Due to this, there will be a strike in government banks in Haridwar on Wednesday. SBI, PNB, Allahabad, Syndicate, Union, Bank of Baroda etc. will remain closed during the strike. Today, the Union of Banks, All India Bank Employees Association, Bank Employees Federation of India, Indian National Bank, Employees Federation and Indian National Bank Officers Congress have decided to go on a day-long strike. AITUC General Secretary Ashok Verma said that INTAK, CITU, AITUC, ACTU will play an active role in the strike. Unemployment in the country is continuously increasing. Workers are losing jobs due to privatization. The government is not implementing the order of equal work, equal pay of the court. The policies of the state government are also against industrialization. The atmosphere as a whole is against the interests of workers. Entrusting successful institutions like THDC into private hands is questioning the government’s intention. The organization will remain agitated about various problems of the workers of the state. In-situ secretary Lekhraj, convener Actu KP Chandola, Samar Bhandari, roadways staff leader Ashok Chaudhary, Daya Kishan Pathak, etc. were present in the talks.
