More than three and a half lakh government employees and pensioners will get free treatment.



More than three and a half lakh government employees and pensioners of Uttarakhand will get unlimited treatment under the Atal Ayushman Yojana. Its proposal is being prepared by the Atal Ayushman Society.

The state government has decided to bring all government employees and pensioners under the Atal Ayushman Scheme. But this scheme has not been implemented since one year. The government had so far planned to provide insurance of five lakh to the employees as well. In view of the protests of the employees on this, now the treatment limit is being increased from five lakhs to unlimited. Along with this, the need to refer to government hospitals in case of some diseases is also being eliminated.

Sources associated with the Atal Ayushman Society said that a proposal for treatment to employees under Ayushman Yojana is being prepared which will be placed in the next cabinet meeting. After the cabinet is approved, the scheme will start to be implemented.

Number of private hospitals will increase
About 180 hospitals have been empaneled in the state under the Ayushman scheme. Now the number of these hospitals is being increased. Especially all major private hospitals of the state are being included in the scheme. Along with this, efforts are being made to make a fresh contact with the country’s renowned hospitals.

Cards will be made for 60 lakh people of the state
Chief Executive Officer of Atal Ayushman Society, Arunendra Singh Chauhan said that out of one crore population of the state, about 60 lakh people will come under the scheme. He informed that Ayushman cards of 34 lakh people have been made so far in the state. While the process of making cards of other people is being accelerated. He informed that people of State Employees Insurance Corporation, Central Employees Insurance Corporation, Ex-servicemen and military families will not come under the ambit of other insurance schemes.
