Along with Chardham, devotees are also reaching other temples for darshan, this benefit is being received due to increasing scope of pilgrimage

A large number of devotees are reaching Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, which is important from the point of view of pilgrimage, for darshan in other temples and pilgrimage places along with Chardham. So far 32 lakh people have visited Chardham alone. Now with the increase in the scope of pilgrimage in the state, economic activities are increasing at other places like the Chardham Yatra routes, which is giving strength to the local economy.
Pilgrims from the country and abroad reach the four Dhams located in Uttarakhand, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, during the Yatra period every year. More than 44 lakh registrations have been done for Chardham and Hemkund Sahib in this Yatra season itself.
Out of these, about 32 lakh pilgrims have completed the Yatra so far. Its positive economic impact is visible on the Chardham Yatra route. In this sequence, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has been constantly emphasizing on the promotion of other pilgrimage sites and Dhams, temples, so that the arrival of pilgrims can also accelerate economic activities there. The result of the positive initiative of the government has come in the form of increasing number of pilgrims visiting Kartikeya Swami Temple in Rudraprayag district, Jagannath Temple located in Uttarkashi as well as other temples. About four lakh people had reached Kartikeya Swami Temple last year, while this time also a large number of devotees are coming there. So far this year 25 thousand pilgrims have reached the Jagannath Temple in Uttarkashi. Similar is the scenario of other religious places. As a result, like the Chardham Yatra route, all economic activities including hotels, restaurants, transportation, prasad have increased in these areas too. This has increased the livelihood of the local residents. Last year around four lakh people visited Kartikeya Swami temple, whereas this time too a large number of devotees are coming there.
