The activities of Uttarakhand Education Department are also amazing.

For the school dress of students, funds were received from the state and central government, in spite of this, six lakh children did not get any dress nor were they paid for it. The children kept waiting for this throughout the year. This is the situation when the current education session 2020-21 is going to end and a new education session will start after three months.

Under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, children of government and non-government schools from class one to eighth are given free dress every year in the state. 90 per cent of the total amount spent on school dress is given by the central government, while the remaining ten per cent is to be borne by the state government.

According to departmental officials, more than 35 crore funds have been released to the districts under the Composite Education Campaign for school dress, but due to the negligence of the authorities, so far neither the students have been given the school dress nor for this Funds were given.

According to the rules, children should have got school dress by April and May 2020. Although schools were closed for nine months due to Kovid-19 this time, like mid-day meal and other schemes, children could be given funds in their accounts in school dress or this item. At the same time, the principals of some schools say that such instructions have been received from the department that the funds of children’s school dress should not be spent till the advance orders.

Minister wants dress to be given through firm:
According to departmental sources, Education Minister Arvind Pandey wants the school dress to be given to children through a firm. For this, the tender process should be adopted in the department. This is the reason that so far lakhs of children of the state have not been able to get school dress. At the same time, many times an attempt was made to contact the Education Minister in this regard, but could not be reached. It will be published when their favor comes.

In the current education session, funds have been sent to the districts through the Directorate of Education for school dress and to the schools through the districts. Despite this, why the children have not received the dress till now, it will be shown.
