Many private hospitals listed under Ayushman Yojana are reluctant to provide treatment to the patients. They are objecting to providing free treatment on Ayushman card or are misleading the patient by giving wrong information. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has given strict instructions to the officials on such hospitals. As per the instructions of the Health Minister, a toll-free number has also been issued for complaints about such hospitals.
Let us tell you, under Ayushman Yojana, the beneficiary gets free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. There are 145 private and 102 government hospitals listed in the state under this scheme. Apart from this, under National Portability, hospitals across the country are also connected to the scheme. But many hospitals in the state and outside are reluctant to provide free treatment to the patients despite being listed in the scheme. Complaints about many such hospitals have also reached the minister. He has instructed the officials to take strict action against such hospitals.
The Health Minister said that the government is working with the intention that every patient should get the benefit of this ambitious scheme of the Central Government. In such a situation, the hospital should avoid any kind of negligence. He said that if such negligence is done to any patient then he can lodge a complaint on toll free number (155368).
Include big hospitals in the scheme
Uttaranchal Hill Employees Teachers Organization has demanded to remove discrepancies in the state government health scheme. State Patron Pancham Singh Bisht said that many big hospitals of the state including Doon are still not connected to the scheme. These should be included in the plan soon. If the concerned hospitals do not enter into the contract, their registration should be cancelled. He demanded listing of all the hospitals including Max, Synergy.
He also demanded signing of chemists for cashless OPD and free medicines in every district. Said that pensioners have been demanding for the last several years that 50 percent deduction be made from their pension, but the government has not yet taken any action in this regard. Despite several rounds of talks between pensioner organizations and the authorities and the government, the discrepancies related to the scheme are not being resolved. If action is not taken soon, employees and pensioners will launch a statewide agitation.
The slowness of the portal is ruining the campaign.
The new portal of Ayushman Bharat has become a cause of trouble for the people. The situation is such that earlier where the card could be made easily, the new portal is not opening. Under the Ayushman Bhava scheme, the target is to make Ayushman cards of 100 percent people across the state, but due to the slowness of the portal, the campaign is being disrupted.
