A person including a rare species of pangolin snake was arrested.



In Kashipur, the forest department has arrested a person including a rare species of pangolin snake. The special thing is that the arrested accused told that Kundeshwari police caught half a dozen people with this rare species but released them. The recovered pangolin is said to be worth twenty lakh rupees in the international market. The Kundeshwari police of Kashipur has apprehended a person with a rare living pangolin (Sallu snake) of rare species and assigned to the forest department team. After the smuggling game was revealed, the possibility of becoming a forest smuggler in Kashipur and surrounding areas has increased. Forest Officer Abhilash Veer Saxena said that the police caught him on the information of a youth taking a pangolin from a motorcycle in a box near village Kharmasa on Kelmod – Kundeshwari road in Kundeshwari. The arrested accused has been identified as Ranjit Singh, a resident of village Thari in Ramnagar. The forest officer told that this is a rare species of Sallu snake and is sold in the market at a considerable price. The accused Ranjeet, who was caught there, told that along with him his other accomplices were also caught by the police who were released during that time. While greedily, they were asked to do this work.
