The wait for the mega draw for the 87,000 consumers registered under the State Tax Department’s Bring a Bill, Get a Reward Scheme is over. The mega draw will be held on Friday in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, and the winners will be announced. 1,888 prizes will be awarded to the winners in the mega draw, with the first prize being two electric cars. To encourage consumers to pay their GST bills, the state government launched the Bring a Bill, Get a Reward Scheme from September 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023. Seeing the enthusiasm of consumers, the government extended the scheme until March 31, 2024. Under the scheme, a lucky draw was held every month for submitting GST bills, in which 1,500 winners received mobile phones, smartwatches, and earbuds.
The scheme closed on March 31, 2024. The last monthly lucky draw was held in September 2024. However, 87,000 consumers have been waiting for the scheme’s mega draw for more than a year and a half. Special Commissioner of State Taxes, I.S. Brijwal, stated that 87,000 consumers have uploaded 639,057 bills under the “Bring a Bill, Get a Reward” scheme, totaling ₹269.50 crore. The mega draw will be held on October 31st in the presence of the Chief Minister.

The first prize in the scheme’s mega draw includes two electric cars, the second prize includes 16 cars, the third prize includes 20 electric scooters, the fourth prize includes 50 motorcycles, the fifth prize includes 100 laptops, the sixth prize includes 200 smart TVs, the seventh prize includes 500 tablets, and the eighth prize includes 1,000 micro-web ovens.
