A Border Area Development Council will be formed in the state, CM Dhami said innovation centers will be established.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that a Border Area Development Council will be formed to expand facilities and services in the border areas of the state. Additionally, innovation centers will be established in border districts for training in disaster management, health, and education. The Chief Minister made this announcement on Wednesday at the inauguration of the fourth Border Hill District Children’s Science Festival organized by the Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology in Guptkashi, Rudraprayag district. He said that providing better facilities and services in border areas is a priority for the state government.

A major achievement for the mountainous state

A Border Development Council will soon be formed in the state, which will work towards the development of border areas and improve services. Innovation centers will be established in the state’s border districts, providing access to information and training related to disaster management, health, and education. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami discussed topics such as climate change, natural water resources and conservation, disaster management, science and technology, and energy conservation with child scientists from various districts. He said, this festival will provide new direction and opportunities to talented child scientists from border districts. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is scaling new heights in innovation, research, and self-reliance. The pace and direction of New India will depend on innovations in science and technology. Today, on the strength of new scientific technologies, India is flying high in various fields, including space. The country’s fifth Science City is being built in Dehradun, which is a major achievement for the hilly state.
