The Dhami government’s crackdown on corruption continues. During the past three years, the Vigilance Department has arrested and jailed 78 corrupt officials, along with over 27 others in other cases. This campaign to curb corruption is now being implemented as a public awareness campaign under the theme “Vigilance – Our Shared Responsibility.” Chief Minister Dhami launched the campaign, which will run until November 9th. He also administered an oath of integrity to officials. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the public awareness program at the Secretariat on Monday. He stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is committed to a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. Since the state’s formation, the Vigilance Department has arrested 339 corrupt officials and employees. In the past three years, the Vigilance Department has arrested 78 corrupt officials and over 27 individuals.
The Chief Minister stated that the toll-free number 1064 is being operated to curb corruption and ensure transparency and accountability in governance. Of these, 62 complaints have been investigated through trap investigations and four through open investigations. He stated that corruption will not be tolerated in the state under any circumstances, and anyone found guilty will be put behind bars. The Chief Minister urged all departments to widely publicize this public awareness campaign.
Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan stated that for the strength of society and administration, it is essential for all personnel to be truthful, honest, and disciplined in their work. Discipline in work automatically eliminates corruption. Director General of Police Deepam Seth, Principal Secretary L. Fanai, Vigilance Director V. Murugesan, and other officials were present at the event.
