Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, Uttarakhand is the first state to have a state curriculum framework for basic education. He said this while inaugurating the centralized studio for virtual and smart classrooms for 840 schools at Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalayas here. The Chief Minister said, “We are all witnessing this historic initiative to strengthen the education system in the state, which will ensure a bright future for the children of the state.” He said that in the modern era, education is not limited to books; instead, digital technology, virtual platforms, and smart classrooms are opening up a host of possibilities. These innovations are making the curriculum more interesting and accessible, and students in remote areas are also able to directly interact with experts and teachers. The Chief Minister informed that 226 schools in the state have been established as PM Shri Vidyalayas. Virtual classes are being conducted in 500 schools.
He said, “Now, students can receive modern and quality education from home through the Uttarakhand Virtual Learning Application.” This application will also allow students to self-evaluate themselves. This app will provide students with the opportunity to learn from renowned teachers from across the country and the state.
