“Creating tension during festivals is a conspiracy,” says CM Dhami – Religious extremism will not be tolerated in the land of gods.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a firm stance following the incident in Patel Nagar yesterday. The Chief Minister stated that creating tension during our festivals and religious rituals is a deliberate conspiracy. Religious extremism will not be tolerated in the land of gods. Strict action will be taken against such lawless elements. Meanwhile, in accordance with the Chief Minister’s directives, the Home Department has issued an alert across the entire state. Any incident of unrest will be dealt with swiftly and firmly. In his video message on Tuesday, Chief Minister Dhami said that those forces that do not support the concept of ‘One India, Great India’ and rely on appeasement politics are continuously trying to sow discord and violence in society. The Chief Minister said, “If someone has affection for another person, who gave them the right to carry around a placard with that person’s name? If you respect someone, that respect should be reflected in your actions. It should not manifest as fanaticism, riots, or religious extremism.” He added that such anarchy will not be tolerated in the land of gods. He stated that the government has implemented a strict anti-riot law, which clearly states that those who cause damage to public and private property during riots will be held responsible for the damages. This will be enforced strictly.
