Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the disaster-affected areas of Dehradun on Thursday to assess the damage. After personally visiting the affected areas, he instructed officials to restore traffic on the damaged main roads as soon as possible and to create alternative routes. The Chief Minister inspected Mussoorie Road, Kimadi, and the Tapkeshwar Temple. During the inspection, he directed all concerned departments to work on a war-footing to restore normalcy in the affected areas. He said that immediate financial assistance, as per disaster relief standards, and basic amenities should be provided to the affected families. Alternative routes and relief camps should be established on a priority basis in areas where access has been disrupted. The Chief Minister said that the state government is fully committed to supporting the disaster victims during this difficult time. All possible efforts are being made to restore normalcy in the affected areas as soon as possible. The CM also inspected the area affected by heavy rainfall near the Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple. He interacted with the temple priests and local residents. After the inspection, the Chief Minister offered prayers at the Tapkeshwar Mahadev Temple, seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for the state and its people. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Vice Chairman of the Disaster Management Advisory Committee Vinay Rohilla, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal, and SSP Ajay Singh, along with other officials, were present on the occasion.
