Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami inaugurated the National Mallakhamb Competition, said- Sports infrastructure of the state has been strengthened

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh inaugurated the Mallakhamb competition at Van Chetna Kendra, Sports Stadium, Chakarpur, Khatima in the 38th National Games. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to build a boxing hostel in the Chakarpur Stadium. Welcoming all the participants and sports lovers from every corner of the country on the occasion of the launch of the Mallakhamb competition under the 38th National Games, the Chief Minister said that he is feeling happy to be present among everyone in this Mallakhamb competition organized under the 38th National Games in this newly built stadium of Chakarpur. He said that with the aim of establishing Uttarakhand as a sports land at the national level, this time the grand event of the National Games is being organized in our state. This event is not only giving our players an opportunity to show their excellent performance, but the sports infrastructure of the state has also been strengthened. In the same sequence, this stadium of Chakarpur has been equipped with world-class sports facilities at a cost of more than Rs 16 crore, which will help our youth to achieve excellence in various sports. In this year’s National Games, the players of Uttarakhand have succeeded in bringing 81 medals for the first time with 19 gold medals so far. The Chief Minister honoured Gold Medal winner Kapil Pokhariya in Boxing at the 38th National Games, Bronze Medal winner Vivek Pandey in Weightlifting, Silver Medal winner Aman, Silver Medal winner Ajay Bisht in Football and Silver Medal winner Aman Joshi in Beach Handball.
