Uttarakhand’s youth making future in adventure tourism, 741 young men and women taking paragliding training

Tourism-important Uttarakhand is now going to add new dimensions in the field of adventure tourism. In this episode, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, 741 youths are being given free vocational training in paragliding in Tehri through the Tourism Department. These also include 124 women. After completion of the training, not only employment and self-employment opportunities will be created for these youth, but adventure tourism in the state will touch new heights.

Attraction of paragliding increased from the point of view of adventure tourism

The attraction of paragliding has increased from the point of view of adventure tourism in some other places of the state including Bhimtal of Nainital and Maldevta of Dehradun. In view of the vast possibilities in this field, the Tourism Department is also providing vocational training to the youth along with finding new sites. In this sequence, 5 different courses from basic to guided paragliding are being conducted in 15 batches for the youth in Tehri. The target is to train 741 youth in the first phase. The youth taking paragliding training are quite excited. Sangeeta Rawat, a resident of Saud village in Uttarkashi district, is also taking this training. Sangeeta, who runs an adventure tourism company, now wants to give new heights to her work through paragliding.

Many people associated with the field of adventure tourism

Bharat Joshi, a resident of Bhimtal in Nainital district, serving in the private sector in Delhi, has also registered for paragliding training. He says that many people from his area are associated with the field of adventure tourism. After taking training, he will also return to Bhimtal. Dinesh Singh, a resident of Kunaul village in Chamoli district, has completed two different courses in May, June and September. He will complete the training by February. Then he will get the license and be ready for commercial flight. Along with Dinesh, three other youth from his village are also taking paragliding training. He has expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for this initiative.
