Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will decide the place and date for the monsoon session of the Legislative Assembly. The cabinet has authorized him for this. The monsoon session of the Assembly is to be held before August 29. Recently, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Aggarwal had said that the monsoon session will be held in the summer capital Gairsain in the first week of August. It was also discussed that the session could be held in Gairsain from August 5. The monsoon session was also discussed in the cabinet meeting. Along with this, other reasons including weather were also underlined. The cabinet authorized the Chief Minister to decide the place and date for the session.
The technical committee will examine proposals of more than five crores
The cabinet has approved the amendment in the delegation of financial and administrative powers for the implementation of externally aided projects. Under this, now the committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Planning Secretary will conduct technical examination of projects costing more than five crores. Then it will recommend it and send it to the high-powered committee, which will pass it. Earlier such cases used to come directly to the high powered committee.
Class IV employees will get the benefit of regular service of parent department
Class IV employees and secretariat assistants working in the secretariat from other departments who have been merged in the secretariat will get the benefit of assured career promotion by adding the regular service of their parent department. The cabinet approved the proposal of the secretariat administration in this regard.
Approval of new rules
The government is now going to bring Uttarakhand Wood Based Industry (Establishment and Regulation) Rules for determining new licenses, renewals, name change, license and renewal amount etc. of wood based industries like wood sawmill, plywood, vinyl, MDF, particle board. The cabinet has approved it. At present, UP Saw-Mill (Establishment and Regulation) Rules-1978 is applicable in the state.
