Government will bear the expenses of the families of workers reaching Silkyara, rescue work continues

The state government will bear the expenses of the relatives of the workers trapped in the tunnel in Silkyara who reach there to inquire about their well-being. According to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the government will make arrangements for the travel, accommodation and mobile recharge of the relatives of these workers. Responsibility for this has been entrusted to senior officers. Three more officers have been sent to Uttarkashi to coordinate with the relatives. These officials will also share other information including rescue operations with officials of other states. Officials have been instructed to immediately contribute to the arrangements related to rescue operations.
The Chief Minister said that rescue operations are going on at all levels to rescue the workers trapped in the tunnel. Along with the rescue work, every moment information is being shared by establishing better coordination with the relatives coming to inquire about the well-being of the workers. A police control room has been set up in Uttarkashi on the very day of the incident for coordination and contact with the relatives of workers from other states and the officials there.
From there the relatives are being given updated information. At the government level, senior IAS Dr. Neeraj Khairwal has already been given the responsibility of coordination with the team of central institutions, agencies and experts. SDM Shailendra Negi has also been sent to the spot.
Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey has also included Haridwar’s SDM Manish Singh and DSO Tejbal Singh and Rudraprayag’s DPO Akhilesh Mishra in this team. On the instructions of the DM of Uttarkashi, these officers will look after food, accommodation, transportation and all important arrangements related to rescue work for the relatives of the workers.

The Chief Minister said that complete arrangements have been made to ensure that the relatives of the workers do not face any kind of difficulty. Officials have been directed to make all necessary arrangements for the needy relatives, from mobile recharge to food, accommodation and transportation. This work has been asked to be done with full sensitivity and promptness, so that the workers and their relatives trapped in the tunnel do not face any kind of problem.
