On Thursday, the Congress was aggressive on the BJP government of the state over the irregularities in the recruitments in various government departments in the state. The State Congress Committee knocked at the Raj Bhavan demanding a probe by the CBI or the High Court judge of irregularities in the recruitment.

Distributed jobs to loved ones like rewari:
At the same time, State Congress President Karan Mahra alleged that there was corruption in the 129 recruitments held in the assembly last year. Jobs were distributed to the ministers and the favorites of BJP leaders like rewari.

Corruption and nepotism in recruitments have resulted in:
The party delegation led by State Congress President Karan Mahra submitted a memorandum to Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (Seni) at Raj Bhavan. It was said in the memorandum that corruption and nepotism have been carried out in the recruitments. It was alleged that through the commission, papers were leaked by taking Rs 15 lakh each in the recruitment for Gram Panchayat Development Officers (VPDO) and other posts.
Corruption flourished in the state during the tenure of BJP government:
All this happened under the patronage of BJP leaders. The continuous arrest in the paper leak case of the Commission proved that during the five-and-a-half years of the BJP government, corruption was flourishing in the state.

Many recruitments have come under the scanner:
A lot has become clear from the order of examination of graduation examination, recruitment of 33 posts of Secretariat Guard and 288 posts of Judicial Junior Assistant. Due to this, the recruitment of clerical and drivers of many departments including Forest Guard, Gram Panchayat Secretary, Gram Panchayat Development Officer, LT Recruitment has also come under suspicion. It was said in the memorandum that the corruption, nepotism have been exposed in the recruitment for various posts in the cooperative department.

Withholding of results pointed to recruitment scam:
It was alleged that the complicity of the bank president, secretary and officers has come to the fore in the recruitment of 61 posts in cooperative banks. The memorandum said that the person who was first arrested in the commission’s examination scam is associated with the same company which conducted the direct recruitment examination for the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat. The withholding of the result of the direct recruitment examination on the part of the present Speaker of the Assembly points to the recruitment scam.
The delegation included former state president Pritam Singh and Ganesh Godiyal, MLA Furkan Ahmed, state vice president Suryakant Dhasmana, Rajkumar, state general secretary organization Vijay Saraswat, executive metropolitan president Jaswinder Gogi, Garima Dasoni, Amarjit Singh and Godavari Thapli.

Uttar Pradesh is the largest state of the country, but there are only 543 employees and officers working in the Legislative Assembly. In Uttarakhand’s 70-seat assembly, the number of employees has crossed 560.

Allegation of giving jobs to PROs of cabinet ministers:
Mahara said the background of the persons who got the jobs is also being questioned. Most of the 129 appointments are closely related to white-collars. He said that the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of former Cabinet Minister and former BJP State President Madan Kaushik, PRO of Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya, PRO of BJP General Secretary Organization Ajay Kumar and wife of two Special Officers of Chief Minister are among those who got the job.
