High court set up committee to investigate works in Mahakumbh

The High Court has constituted a committee comprising District Judge Haridwar, Chief Permanent Advocate of the High Court, Shiva Bhatt, advocate for the petitioner, to examine all the construction works at Haridwar Mahakumbh. On March 14, this committee, along with the magistrate, will investigate all kinds of construction works and other arrangements going on in the entire area of ​​Kumbh Mela.

The court also asked the district judge to send a detailed report on this to the court. The court has fixed March 24 for the next hearing of the case. A bench of Chief Justice RS Chauhan and Justice Alok Kumar Verma gave the above instructions.

Government to set up Covid Hospital in the fair area: During the hearing, advocate Dushyant Mainali told the court that the work of flyover in Haridwar has not been completed yet. The construction of internal roads of Haridwar is also not completed. On this, the High Court summoned information regarding the progress of construction of bridges, roads, flyovers etc. for Haridwar Kumbh Mela. Also said that the government should set up Covid hospitals in the fair area and complete proper arrangements in them.

Meladhikari to get clear photography of construction works: The High Court has instructed the Melaadhikari to submit the answer by 23 March with detailed affidavit by getting clear photography of construction works.

Follow the social distance District Magistrate: Hearing the petitions of Sachidanand Dabral, resident of Dehradun and others, the High Court asked all the District Magistrates to strictly observe social distance in their respective districts. The petitioners had sought the help of quarantine centers and Covid hospitals, the help of migrants returning to Uttarakhand and better health facilities for them.
