Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat announced on International Women’s Day


On International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat announced to give ten thousand rupees to Anganwadi workers, Asha workers and 15-15 thousand to Mahila Mangal Dal and self-help groups for better work during the Corona period.

Due to the Delhi program on Monday, the Chief Minister could not attend the conference held at the Kisan Maidan in the summer capital, Garsain-Bharadisain. She addressed the women and others present at the conference through a virtual medium.

The Chief Minister said that each Anganwadi and ASHA workers serving the state during Covid period will be given 10-10 thousand rupees. With this, the Chief Minister also announced a grant of Rs 15,000 each to all Mahila Mangal Dal and women self-help groups.

The Chief Minister said that empowerment of women is very important for the development of society. The more the participation of women, the faster will the development of the state. The Chief Minister said that on March 18, four years of the state government are being completed. Women in the state have been given the right to co-account in the ancestral property of their husbands. The Chief Minister has also implemented Ghariyari Kalyan Yojana. For this, a provision of Rs 25 crore has been made in this budget.

In this program, 156 self-help groups of the district were given interest-free loan of Rs 5.27 crore. In the program, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Minister of State for Higher Education and Cooperation, distributed checks to 11 women self-help groups related to vegetable and milk production, goat husbandry, jangora, rice packaging, juice and pickle packaging in Chamoli district.

He got checks: Self-help groups include Anusuya Mata, Lakshmi Mahila Kisan, Jai Maa Bandhanagadi, Vaishnav Devi, Jai Maa Bhagwati, Aditya Dev, Nag Devta, Lakshmi Self Help Group Surya, Chatteshwar Mahadev, Jai Bhumiyal, Jai Durga Maa Self Help Group Huh.
