500 crore rupees released for Haridwar Kumbh 2027, CM Dhami expresses gratitude to PM Modi

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government for the release of ₹500 crore by the Government of India for the preparations for the proposed Kumbh Mela 2027 in Uttarakhand.

The Chief Minister stated that the Kumbh Mela is not merely a religious event, but a world-renowned festival of India’s eternal culture, spiritual heritage, and social harmony. This funding approved by the Central Government will play a crucial role in ensuring a divine, grand, and well-organized Kumbh Mela 2027. This will accelerate the strengthening of infrastructure, traffic management, drinking water, sanitation, security arrangements, and pilgrim facilities. It is worth noting that the Chief Minister had previously requested the Prime Minister for assistance during the Kumbh Mela.

The Chief Minister stated that the Central Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is continuously committed to the development of Uttarakhand. The Central Government’s support for various development projects, including the Chardham project, the expansion of all-weather roads, rail, and air connectivity, has proven to be a strong support for the state. This support will further strengthen the State Government’s resolve to successfully organize the Kumbh Mela 2027. Dhami expressed confidence that through the coordinated efforts of the central and state governments, the Kumbh Mela 2027 will be established as a historic, safe, and well-organized event, and that excellent facilities will be provided to the millions of devotees coming from India and abroad. The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to organizing a divine and grand Kumbh Mela 2027 by ensuring timely, transparent, and quality work.
