Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat participated in the 22nd meeting of the Central Zonal Council held under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has requested the central government that the centrally funded, Degraded forest land should be allowed for compensatory afforestation in all externally aided and state funded schemes. State police modernization amount should be increased for Uttarakhand. The entire expenditure on transportation of food grains under the National Food Security Scheme should be borne by the Government of India. The subsidy on pulses should be continued. Assistance should be provided in the expansion of storage capacity in hilly areas. At the 22nd meeting of the Central Zonal Council under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Trivendra also made several important suggestions keeping the state’s stand at various points. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel were also present at the meeting.
